SThe Right of Each Child
Human growth follows precise laws. There have been children brought up by animals; one lives in a L’Arche community. But their development has not been truly human, nor are they able to communicate as human beings. For human beings to become really human, they must be brought up and loved by other human beings. Therapists versed in the science of psychology know that there are laws about human growth. If these are not respected, children will not develop in the right way, and will have difficulty in living humanly. Children have a right to receive what they need in order to become really themselves, to become human.
